Pulling plates out of a hot oven is an occupational hazard for me and I've been burned many times when just grabbing a tea towel instead of putting my mitt on.
This time however my mitt caused me to burn myself as it caught on the hot oven rack above which stuck to my skin and came out of the oven along with the plate I was carrying...
It might be time I bought some burn cream for my studio!
